Samsung Galaxy S5 models for Verizon and AT&T now have a root method

If you've been itching to get root access on your AT&T or Verizon Galaxy S5, today brings some good news. Famed cracker and Sony's BFFgeohot has built a tool that will root your S5 and let you get on with all those things you've been wanting to do but couldn't — like kill Caller Name ID or Baby Crying Detector. As usual, having root access comes with some caveats, and this tool is still early in it's development cycle so there may be bugs.
A neat aside — this method should work with anyAndroid device with a kernel date before June 3, 2014. Certain HTC and Motorola devices are exempt because of the way they mount the system partition, though. If anything, it might be worth trying on your phone if you've been dying for root and are willing to accept the responsibility for anything that might go wrong. Head to the source link and have a read.
